These terms apply to Smart Learner Assistant, an educational plugin provided by Star Learning Systems LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) for use within ChatGPT. By using the assistant, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it.

Educational purpose

Smart Learner Assistant provides supplemental learning support for parents, educators, and students ages 13 and older. It offers explanations, guided practice, writing feedback, study activities, and quizzes.

The assistant is not a complete homeschool curriculum, an accredited school, or a substitute for a teacher’s professional judgment. We do not guarantee grades, test scores, mastery, or other educational outcomes.

Age requirements and adult involvement

You must be at least 13 years old and meet any higher minimum age required in your country to use ChatGPT. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Children under 13 must not use the assistant directly. Parents and educators may use it to prepare and conduct learning activities for younger children. The adult must enter requests, review responses, and decide whether the material is appropriate. Do not submit a younger child’s identifying information.

ChatGPT access and charges

Star Learning Systems does not sell Smart Learner Assistant separately or charge a separate fee for using it. Purchasing Smart Learner is not required to use the publicly available plugin.

You use the assistant through your own eligible ChatGPT account. OpenAI controls account eligibility, available features, usage limits, and any charges associated with its services. We do not provide or pay for your ChatGPT subscription or additional usage.

Your use of ChatGPT remains subject to the OpenAI terms and policies applicable to your account. These terms do not replace those agreements.

Accuracy and responsible use

AI-generated responses may contain mistakes, incomplete information, or unsuitable suggestions. Review important answers, calculations, sources, and activities before relying on them or sharing them with a learner.

Follow your school’s and teacher’s rules concerning AI assistance. Do not use the assistant to complete an assessment when outside assistance is prohibited or misrepresent AI-generated work as entirely your own.

Use the assistant lawfully and respectfully. Do not use it to harm others, violate privacy or intellectual-property rights, or bypass platform safeguards.

Information and materials you provide

Provide only information needed for the learning task. Remove names and other identifying details from schoolwork. Do not submit passwords, payment card details, government identifiers, medical records, or other sensitive personal information.

Only provide materials you have permission to share. These terms do not transfer ownership of your submitted materials to Star Learning Systems. Rights concerning content submitted to or generated by ChatGPT remain subject to applicable law and your agreement with OpenAI.

Privacy and software access

Our Smart Learner Assistant Privacy Policy explains the assistant’s data practices and how we handle support messages.

The current plugin provides teaching instructions. It does not connect to Smart Learner desktop software, customer accounts, purchase records, or student progress reports. Installing it does not grant a license to other Star Learning Systems products.

Availability and changes

The assistant depends on ChatGPT and the capabilities available to your account. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, particular tools, or continued platform availability. We may update or discontinue the assistant.

You may stop using or uninstall the assistant at any time. Uninstalling it does not automatically delete previous ChatGPT conversations.

We may revise these terms as the assistant changes. Updated terms will appear on this page with a revised date.

Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable consumer-protection law.
